Individual earth-leakage protection per end group

The Alamat electronic earth leakage circuit-breaker is a miniture circuit-breaker with an integrated earth-fault protection unit. With Alamat, all the specified switchboard switching and protection functions can be provided per indivdual consumer group i.e.

switching and isolation

protection against overloads

protection against short-circuits

protection against earth leakage currents As a result, any fault that occurs is restricted to the associated consumer group. This makes it much easier to find the fault and also means that the functions do not have to be duplicated.Furthermore, the inconvenience to the consumer is kept to a minimum because only the group in which the fault occurs is tripped. Alamat is provided with an electronic earth leakage protection and compared with mechanical earth leakage protection, has a number of attractive advantages: The magnitude of the operating current (10, 30, 100 and 300mA) is set in the factory with great accuracy and the values are fixed. Nuisance tripping is kept to a minimum. The tripping force is independent of the size of the fault current and is not affected by ageing phenomena. Is less sensitive to lightning surges and other grid interference.
